Productivity Quality, Inc. provides ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited machine tool calibration services for milling and turning CNC machine tools. Our services are traceable to NIST and comply with the ASME B5.54:2005 standard. We also can provide services compliant to Boeing CNC calibration requirements upon request. Our services include updates to CNC error compensation to improve machine performance when allowed by the CNC control. Our certifications include both “As Found” and “As Left” data and we provide a trend graph over calibration cycles to help you keep track of machine history.

The PQI Difference
PQI uses Renishaw XL-80 laser interferometers for linear, straightness, squareness, pitch and yaw analysis. The XL-80 can measure up to 80 meters in length with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 ppm and it offers resolution down to a nanometer. When used in conjunction with the XR20-W Rotary Axis calibrator we are able to offer both A and B axis rotary calibration. The XR20-W system allows us to measure rotational axis position to within 1 arc second. We also provide services to measure and correct “center of rotation” errors for 4 and 5 axis systems.
We use the Renishaw QC20-W wireless ballbar system for dynamic machine tool performance diagnosis. The ballbar has a system accuracy of +/- 1.25µm and can be set to calibration from 100 to 600mm radii. We also have the small circle kit with a 50mm radii test. Tests are performed in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions to evaluate error. Additionally, we can provide partial arc testing up to 220 degrees throughout the center pivot axis point.
Finally, when requested, we can perform a complete spindle analysis test to check for vibration, runout, spindle growth and speed with our Lion Precision spindle check system.

Offered PQI Calibration Services
Dimensional Gaging
We offer gage calibration services and technical support for all your dimensional measurement activities, including hard gages and precision hand tools. We have a fully equipped, environmentally controlled lab onsite where we can conduct accredited calibrations with uncertainties as low as .000002".
Electronic
All electronic test instruments require calibration to provide accurate test data. PQI offers electronic calibration for a wide range of commercial off-the-shelf equipment. We are a leading resource for NIST traceable ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibrations.
Physical Calibration
Our physical calibration services include torque, force and pressure calibration. We can calibrate pressure gages from vacuum to 10,000PSI. We offer service at your facility when appropriate and can calibrate most items in our lab.
CMM & Vision Systems
Our ANAB accredited services include calibration, repair and certification of all makes and models of CMMs. We have factory trained calibration technicians that provide linear and volumetric error correction on Hexagon, Brown & Sharpe, DEA and Sheffield CMMs. All of our certifications comply with national standards, and all of our calibration equipment is traceable to NIST.
CNC Machine Tool
Our CNC calibration specialists have the latest tools for analyzing CNC machine tools, including: laser interferometers, telescoping ball bars, spindle analysis systems and rotary table calibrators. Calibration capabilities include accredited ASME B5 Standard and Boeing CNC verification services.
